Frequency is variable and can be adjusted to 1 MHz or 3.3 MHz. The Frequency of ultrasound determines the depth of penetration. One megahertz penetrates approximately 3 to 5 centimeters, and 3.3 megahertz penetrates less than, or equal to 2 centimeters. Both 1 and 3.3 MHz frequencies are available and can be changed throughout the course of treatment by pressing
the Frequency button.
