Our client is seeking several Healthcare Software Trainers. This is a contract position that requires up to 80-100% travel.
Responsible for conducting classes for employees or customers regarding features and operation of software products. May test and maintain training software, documentation, and A/V presentation materials. May conduct training needs analysis and develop technical training materials. Operates under general supervision. Technical training courses and materials may deal with complex situations for multiple products. Interfaces with customer and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses. Prepares lesson plans from software documentation, field requirements, and/ or or engineering documentation. Works with programmers, software engineering and technical support to ensure that course material reflects current product features. May instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions. Follows up to determine applicability of course material.
Minimum Requirements:
- 6+ years technical training, field sales, product support, and/or consulting experience.
*RN or other nursing/clinical experience is required.
*Prior training experience and understanding of adult learning techniques is strongly preferred.
*Understanding of clinical services and operations related to the healthcare industry including nursing, emergency department, hospital pharmacy and other clinical operations is preferred.
*Experience with Horizon Clinical applications including Horizon Expert Orders, Horizon Expert Documentation, Horizon Emergency Care, and/or Horizon AdminRx is required.
*Provider adoption or implementation of physician/nursing applications experience is desired.
*Medication safety initiative, implementation and policies procedures experience is desired.
*JCAHO medication safety standards familiarity is desired.
*Experience improving clinical operations, process redesign and change management is helpful.
* Must be willing to travel up to 80% (travel may vary based on courses taught, from 20-80%, with occasional weekly stretches of up to 100%, depending on the specific position being filled and location of employee). Flexible schedule to meet customer demands for shift work (first and second) for on-site end-user training, with occasional weekend and/or holiday requests.
