New Ultrasound Training for India

by Becky Jacoby, Reporter

Sales'N'Service, a fast-growing India-based company offering OEM refurbished ultrasound scanners and color Dopplers, earned a reputation for outstanding service to its global customer base. Niranjan Kumar, owner, had the idea that if he could teach medical professionals how to repair their own equipment, they would have less machine downtime. As a result, he launched the first ultrasound training program in India.

Kumar told DOTmed News, "We are always maintaining the business agility needed to respond to a changing world and market trends. India Ultrasound will always be here to answer customer needs and will give more details about pre-owned systems."

Sales'N'Service offers classes to educate users and biomedical engineers to understand the basics of ultrasound and routine maintenance. The program options include training at the customer's site or at Kumar's service center.

The company's service personnel provide the training. Depending on which option is chosen, training may cover:
* membrane replacement
* probe testing
* refurbishment
* comparative technical specifications
* ultrasound applications
* general component level/general board level
servicing
* fabrication of keyboard shins, and
* procurement of dedicated components

What Kumar's firm does is what he trains.

"Experienced service engineers are prepared to provide service on all brands of ultrasound systems and peripherals. Ultrasound service from us addresses every part of the ultrasound machine. The CPU, the probes, the printer, each and every piece must work properly in order to obtain and display useable data. Our mission is to keep you in business so you don't have to reschedule your patients," said Kumar.

Also noteworthy is that the firm's probe replacement program with research is promoted by the government of India under the Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC).
