Five Minutes in Healthcare is a new series we've introduced in HealthCare Business News, where I discuss current events with some of the industry's most influential leaders, as well as innovative thinkers who are working to meet the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.

Over the last week I have had the pleasure of speaking to Jeff Fall, Jim Balet, Rob Jensen, Diana Upton and Rob Kerwin. Each interview is approximately five minutes long, or a few minutes over five.

In the following installment we speak to Jeff Fall, the president of Oxford Instruments Healthcare, which was recently acquired by MXR Imaging, about how the ongoing crisis is impacting him on a personal and professional level.

In the following installment we speak to Jim Balet, the president of Cool Pair Plus, about how his company is managing to maintain distancing in the workplace and the surprising effect some of these new protocols have had on productivity.

In the following installment we speak to Rob Jensen, president of AAMI, about the essential role of HTM professionals during the ongoing pandemic, the specific factors that went into cancelling the 2020 AAMI Exchange, and the ways AAMI is providing the HTM community up to date with information and guidelines to keep them operating safely and efficiently at hospitals throughout the country.

If you are an HTM professional seeking COVID-19 guidance, be sure to visit the AAMI COVID-19 webpage.

In the following installment we speak to Diana Upton, president of the International Association of Medical Equipment Remarketers and Servicers (IAMERS), and Rob Kerwin, general counsel for IAMERS, about how they're dealing with COVID-19, and the ways this pandemic could impact third-party service.
