The "Sapphire weighs 375 pounds and has a width of 48". Access can be challenging for rear and side maintenence and repair. Also available automated hematology instrument as as STKS,GEN*S, LH 750.
Laboratory space is at a premium with little or no funding for expansion. Instrument companies have made their instruments smaller with new and better technology however; they need special space requirements for installation.
*Easy access to the sides and rear of equipment is imperative for precise and timely repairs.
*Manufactures require air circulation to keep equipment cool. Rear & side fan filters need regular cleaning.
*The size and weight of the equipment are usually prohibitive to gain easy access to the side panels and rear of the instrumentation.
The CAROUSEL, designed to fit on existing countertops allowing the operators or service personnel easier access to the rear and sides of medical equipment. Service personnel no longer have to stand on the countertops or work in awkward positions just to repair equipment.
