The vertical dual stainless steel rods allow the cassette holder to slide up and down effortlessly since the slide mechanism is balanced by two integral spring drawn light wire cables which require no effort to lift or lower the slide cassette support. The weight balancing cables roll into a mechanism attached to the top of the main support rod housing. Once positioned, the slide mechanism is secured with a tightening knob.

Unit has a heavy cast steel counterweighted base which rolls easily despite the base and main vertical steel shaft weighing 154 pounds.
The component with two stainless vertical rods and adjustable slide mechanism weighs 26 pounds, and the adjustable cassette holder itself weighs 14 pounds. This is an extremely well made unit that is in very good condition.
The cassette holder head tilts the cassette 180 degrees with precise positioning made possible by a built in angle indicator. The cassette slide head holds cassettes up to 18" wide x 15" long. In the vertical position, the cassette holder extends up to 31" out from the slide mechanism vertical bars, and it can be positioned securely at any extension distance with a tightening knob.
