TBS Minotome Plus Cryostat model 2563. This unit is in demo/pristine condition. The tried and proven Minot® microtome that has been the technician's choice for generations is now placed at a horizontal angle inside the cryostat chamber to provide greater visibility to the standing technician. It produces distortion free sections from 2-42 micron thickness in precise 2 micron increments. The easy-to-use motorized specimen advance and retract feature offers the ultimate in speed, convenience and safety. The Minotome Plus is completely CFC-free and features cool down to -30 degrees C with accurate temperature control at the knife's edge. The -40 degree C quick freeze plate accommodates numerous samples and provides convenient temperature readout. Automatic and manual defrost modes are selectable. Accommodates reusable knives or disposable blades. This system produces distortion free sections from 2-42 microns thickness in 2 precise increments.
