Cells Phones and Microwave Ovens
My dad is a retired aerospace engineer. I remember when microwave ovens became consumer products he said that Russian engineers felt they weren't safe. They posed particular danger to the eyes. Of course, we Americans put our microwave ovens...where? Right above the oven hood so that they are in proximity to our eyes!
I mention this because my Dad wondered why we take these risks if a group of experts, however distant, questions the devices' safety. I can tell you that his microwave is across the room from the cooking range and so is mine.
I bring this up because, yet again, we must face the possibility that we have no idea if a widely used device is safe--cell phones. Yet we think nothing of applying them to our heads for extended periods.
Read DOTmed's exclusive report, which makes sense of the science, and decide for yourself.
By the way, did I ever tell you how they discovered that microwave energy cooks flesh?
You don't want to know.
See you tomorrow.
