New Year's (Health) Resolutions

On any given visit to the health club, you'll see the usual faces of dedicated exercisers. But starting next week, the regulars will be joined by those with resolutions to take more time for their health.

This week's DOTmed News includes several health stories including a report on the most important health measures you can take. You'll also read an unusual finding that those who are risk takers are likely to process dopamine differently, causing their lack of resolve. Also related to the new year, we added one second to the calendar in 2008 to make sure that the atomic clocks were in synch with the sun. No wonder last year seemed long.

Here's to a healthy and prosperous 2009. Let's hope those newcomers are still at the gym come March.
Happy New Year!
