Letter From the Editor

The Health of Health Care

This week, DOTmed News includes briefings from top OEMs on their latest earnings reports. Things are mixed at best with health care divisions generally holding their own despite the broader economic downturn.

The news from AHA that hospitals are delaying capital investments is no surprise to DOTmed users. Many of our colleagues have reported an uptick in service business as hospitals keep installed equipment in service longer instead of trading in. DOTmed has an early take on many health sector trends because our users are in the trenches -- many repair medical equipment around the U.S. and worldwide. (Read our industry sector reports in DOTmed Business News Magazine and online.)

Check in daily and we'll keep you posted on news affecting health technology businesses. Be sure to read our new Press Room section and send us your news, too.
