Letter From the Editor

Free Radicals

From the looks of public reaction to health care reform proposals the media has utterly failed in its mission.

You just can't make this stuff up: Signs reading "Keep Government Out of Medicare," a citizen screaming at Arlen Specter that 74-year-olds with cancer will not be covered because they can't pay taxes. (The senator is a 79-year-old cancer survivor.)

The outraged constituents seem to be playing to the camera and media outlets are glad to oblige. The facts of the proposals are lost in the "debate."

One thing is certain: DOTmed News won't let you down. Read our Health Reform Roundup.

See you tomorrow.
