"We try to take a strategic approach to our purchases. So when we were considering new ultrasound equipment, we wanted to make sure that our patients would get added value from it and that it would do more than produce excellent images," said Lowell Church, assistant vice president of Materiel Management, Adventist Health. "After a thorough review, we felt Philips' standardized approach, combining innovative technology and service support, would help increase productivity while helping control equipment and service costs."

Among the new ultrasound systems to be featured throughout Adventist Health is Philips iE33 intelligent echo system designed to help with the clinical needs of managing patients with cardiac disease, such as heart failure, valvular disease and congenital heart disease. For general ultrasound imaging needs, Philips' iU22 intelligent ultrasound system provides expanded volumetric capabilities, solutions for scanning technically difficult patients, interventional tools and new approaches to improve workflow efficiencies.
