Juju.com Announces Trends and Forecasts for Health Care Jobs
November 06, 2009
(New York, NY) - Juju.com, the leading comprehensive job search enginge, announced today statistics and trends for jobs in the healthcare industry leading into 2010. A top 100 site in the Weddle's Guide to Employment, Juju.com analyzes job search data for industries and based on previous findings and predicitions, provides forecasts for the upcoming year.
Juju.com has the following to announce as it relates to jobs in the health care industry:
-Juju.com is seeing robust hiring in the healthcare industry in general, with a particular emphasis on Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Nurses.
-Unlike almost every other sector of the economy, many healthcare jobs continue to offer attractive incentives to new employees that seem surprising in the wake of the Great Recession. For example, 37% of all jobs on Juju.com that offer signing bonuses are within the health care space, which confirms that health care employers remain disproportionately likely to use aggressive tactics to attract talent.
-The demand for nurses is particularly evident with Travel Nurses. There over 1,000 listings on Juju for Travel Nurses just in California.
-We do not anticipate that the demand for trained health care professionals will be satiated any time soon, especially given the impending retirement of the Baby Boomers, so from a job seekers perspective it's a good area to look into for those looking to change course in their career and find greater security.
-Unlike manufacturing and banking, healthcare was not terribly hard hit by the crisis due to relatively inelastic demand, and appears to be remaining strong in its aftermath. We talk to healthcare employers daily that are looking for new ways to extend their reach and find qualified employees. For certain professionals, like nurses and physical therapists, it's as if there never was a recession
