NovaRad Introduces NovaPRO Specialized RIS/PACS for Radiologist Groups and NovaMG Breast Imaging Viewer at RSNA

NovaRad RSNA Booth #5854 - At RSNA this year, NovaRad showcases two of its latest and specialized radiology technologies, NovaPRO a RIS/PACS for radiologist groups and NovaMG breast imaging viewer.

NovaPRO is NovaRad's latest PACS and RIS built specifically for radiologist groups that read for multiple hospitals, clinics and imaging centers. The NovaPro RIS/PACS is specifically designed to provide all the image retrieval, management and report distribution capabilities to provide exactly what a radiology group needs to be most efficient and productive.

NovaPro facilitates the receipt of DICOM images from unlimited, unaffiliated image producing practices and ensures images and information remains separate. Image retrieval is provided without the necessity to store or maintain the image files. Received images are scrubbed from the archive when the storage limit, pre-determined by the interpreting physician, is reached. However, if the storage and archiving of images and reports is required, the system is configurable to be a complete PACS.

System capabilities also include the automatic distribution of resulting reports through direct HL7 messaging, email or fax to an existing HIS, RIS and/or EMR/EHR.

The NovaMG breast imaging viewer combines the tool set of NovaPACS with customizable mammographic reading and hanging protocol sequences. FDA 510(k) cleared and IHE compliant, it supports multi-modality viewing and iCad and R2 structured reports.

The viewer enables direct receipt of digital mammographic images from the modality while pre-fetching from the PACS archive is initiated via DICOM modality worklist.

Offered as an option to NovaRad's existing radiologist view stations, the viewer provides all pixels viewing that allows for searching of all image pixels and incorporates Tabá[<00E1>][<00E1>][<00E1>][<00E1>][<00E1>][<00E1>][<00E1>]r's systematic viewing masks to enhance perception of subtle radiographic abnormalities. All annotations and additions to image information such as Grayscale Softcopy Presentation State (GSPS), queried and retrieved images and structured reports are stored in the PACS upon completion of interpretation.

NovaMG automatically populates the diagnostic findings to a mammography reporting system and facilitates work list synchronization for recall-report exporting from either the RIS or mammography reporting system.

"For more than a decade we have been delivering radiology technologies that change the way hospitals, clinics and imaging centers do business," said Paul Shumway, NovaRad vice president. "The introduction of these two latest products is one of our biggest announcements since our founding and RSNA is a perfect venue for their debut."
