The cutting edge advance of Open LiteBox is the ability to view, convert and import all DICOM and non-DICOM images found on CDs or DVDs. In the past, multiple image formats required multiple solutions resulting in wasted time. Those images encoded with legacy and proprietary formats posed the greatest challenge for administrators and clinicians because they could not be converted and viewed on an institution's PACS.
