HOUSTON - Duke University in Durham, N.C. added DICOM Gateway to their Digisonics PACS and structured reporting system, while Baton Rouge Clinic in Baton Rouge, La. implemented DigiView Search, Digisonic's powerful data mining package.

The Digisonics DICOM Gateway software will continuously process and transmit all patient data and images from the site's ultrasound machines to ensure smooth data throughput and eliminate any potential data entry errors.

DigiView Search will allow the clinic to conduct searches on any combination of fields within their report or database. This application improves overall departmental efficiency by allowing users to extract clinical information for use in research and statistical summaries, compile necessary statistics required for accreditation, and track activity from referring physicians. Search results can be exported into Excel or ASCII format and plotted in graphs for easy review.
