ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Encompass Medical Group installed a CARESTREAM Vue PACS to serve its eight locations in the greater Kansas City area. Each multi-physician clinic performs imaging services and houses specialties ranging from family practice to orthopedics, internal medicine and pediatrics. The medical group of 44 physicians conducts 60,000 X-ray exams a year.

"Several PACS platforms did not support all breast imaging modalities and either could not display images in full resolution or required long delays to do so," she added. The Vue Motion zero footprint, web-based image viewer is also an important advantage for Carestream's PACS. "This viewer offers convenient access to patient images on mobile devices including iPads, which our physicians really appreciate. Since Vue Motion is easy to implement and requires virtually no training to use, it greatly streamlined the process of delivering imaging exams to physicians at each location," Stidham reports.
