PACS Data Migration Made Easy with iQ - MIGRATION

Press releases may be edited for formatting or style | March 05, 2013
IMAGE Information Systems Ltd. (IMAGE) has launched iQ - MIGRATION, an innovative solution for image archive migration.

PACS data migration is usually a time-consuming, manual, error - prone process
that must be carried out by an administrator. Ask any administrator who has migrated from one PACS to another and they will confirm the labor intensive procedure. In some cases, the old PACS may even restrict its data transfer to
other PACS. What happens, too, when administrative access to the system may
be missing?

To solve these issues, IMAGE has developed iQ-MIGRATION, a software tool that handles the entire DICOM data migration process automatically. It is capable of migrating DICOM data from virtually any PACS, regardless of vendor, content, or size. iQ- MIGRATION simply runs in the background on a workstation or server without the need for supervision. Ranges of data can be specified and the migration can be interrupted and restarted as desired.

When starting a new project, information about the source and tar get PACS is input, as well as the start and end dates of the studies to be migrated. If the process is interrupted (for example, due to PACS restrictions or network issues), the transfer can be continued after resolving any issues. iQ-MIGRATION keeps track of data that has successfully migrated and of any failures or data still in the queue.

iQ-MIGRATION has an easy-to-understand user interface designed to make the migration process structured and painless.

A free 7 day trial version that allows a migration of up to three days of data is available at www.image-systems.biz.
