(July 22, 2014 - MILWAUKEE, WI) The 2014-15 U.S. News and World Report rankings of the nation's Best Hospitals were recently released. Over 40% of the cited top 17 hospitals depend on image archive and management software developed by TeraMedica.

"We are pleased to congratulate not only our clientele, but the entire list of providers that were named to the 2014-2015 U.S. News and World Report Best Hospitals list," commented TeraMedica President and CEO Jim Prekop. "As a truly vendor neutral solution provider, it is exciting for our entire organization to see that seven of the top seventeen hospitals utilize our image management software." Prekop added, "I expect this adoption to continue as the practice of enterprise image management further expands. Importantly, we also recognize that our success in this rapidly growing technology segment started when our first customer, the Mayo Clinic, installed TeraMedica's vendor neutral archive (VNA) solution back in 2001. Today, that system manages over 2 billion DICOM images, as well as 600,000 Non-DICOM objects."

Evercore integrates and manages patient-centric clinical content in the clinical and research settings across wide geographies, including standard DICOM objects. Evercore also possesses the ability to natively manage and distribute beyond DICOM using global standards such as MPG, JPG, PDF and many other critical clinical content such as treatment plans for cancer care or vital reports in non-standard formats.

TeraMedica's patented Smartstore™ module intelligently manages the total image lifecycle of all DICOM and non-DICOM content. The Univision™ module provides a multi-layer, zero-download image viewer, with seamless integration to any EMR/EHR/PHR/RHIO.
