"Navigating the Convergence of Clinical and Information Technology" is Focus of International Seminar on Patient Safety in Asia

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA - The Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH), in collaboration with ECRI Institute, an independent nonprofit that researches the best approaches to improving patient care, is organizing an international patient safety seminar, "Navigating the Convergence of Clinical and Information Technology." It will be held September 29, 2014, in Putrajaya, Malaysia. The seminar will address how clinical and information technology influence patient safety.

"The rapid merging of these different types of technology in healthcare systems requires critical and timely management decisions," says Anthony J. Montagnolo, MS, executive vice president and chief operating officer, ECRI Institute, and moderator of the international seminar.

Presentations will focus on establishing a culture of safety, the convergence of patient safety and technology, using new technology to improve patient safety, and establishing patient safety priorities in technology management and maintenance.
