Through the continued workflow improvements enabled by this new patent, vRad will enhance the integrity of radiologic imaging data with machine learning and AI. For example, machine learning algorithms can extract image characteristics from radiological exams to drive improved clinical workflow. Metadata, such as body part or image orientation, is often inaccurate or completely missing. This has downstream impact on clinical documentation, display protocols, or even billing. With the vRad inference engine and AI models, metadata discrepancies can be identified, ensuring data integrity.

Using AI and machine learning, vRad will ensure clean data and drive workflow. Data integrity powered by this new patent will have profound implications on workflow efficiency, immediate impact on patient care and a systemic impact on the healthcare system.
