Nursing Student Devises IV-Line Insertion Aideby Becky Jacoby, Reporter
An IV-Line Insertion Aide that would serve as added precaution against infection was created by an inventor, a nursing student, based on his own experiences. The invention, which is reported as producible in a variation for use with central lines, could also increase patient comfort and reduce tugging at an IV insertion site.
"As a nursing student, I see a constant need to enhance safety and efficiency in medical problems," the student said. "My invention fulfills a need." InventHelp, an inventor service company that assists in bringing inventions to market, maintains confidentiality for its clients. However, the design is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers through the Telemarketing Janello office in Pittsburgh, PA. For more information about the IV Aide, call (412) 288-1300, extension 1368. Please Send us your Comments. |
