Houston, TX- Nuclear Imaging Services, LP (NIS) a partner of Synergy Medical Systems; has announced that they have released phase two of enhancements to their secure ASP web-based report generation software "FreeiStream.com" for physicians to use free of charge.

FreeiStream is currently based around the Cardiology market and diagnostic imaging in particular. FreeiStream modules include patient management, scheduling, ICANL (nuclear cardiology) & ICAEL (echocardiography) compliant reports, accreditation, iLab for lab & isotope management, and more.

M. Hewitt, President of NIS, states that: "while FreeiStream was in Beta testing mode; a large number of physicians expressed interest in the ability to upload, archive, and review images via the web. Our team quickly integrated the ability for technicians to drag and drop images into a patient's folder. This allows physicians to remotely review images with any computer that has internet access and without having to connect to a dedicated network, server, PACs or download any special viewing software." This will improve patient care and allow physicians to read images remotely without having to be in the office; ultimately decreasing the time patients typically wait to be diagnosed with coronary disease.

The team at NIS feels that this free product is going to revolutionize the way physicians read studies and can give referring physicians preliminary results.

NIS has plans to implement e-prescribing, pre-certification with major insurance carriers and Medicare/Medicaid, referring physician & patient portal, and an HL7 interface to the FreeiStream product.

In addition to the previously listed coming features; NIS has announced that it plans to expand the structure of FreeiStream to include other specialties outside the Cardiology market.
