Royal College of Surgeons and Cleveland Clinic Strike Deal

An agreement with the Royal College of Surgeons and the Cleveland Clinic will focus on medical devices and areas including orthopedics, cardiovascular disease and general surgery. The Clinic will partner with the school on clinical trials for approval in Europe and in the United States through the Food and Drug Administration.

Cleveland Clinic Innovations Director Chris Coburn called the school "the old pros in navigating an international system" with a global reach that will benefit the Clinic, according to The Plain Dealer. The Royal College has several research projects focusing on bone development, and on cardiovascular and cancer research, among other areas.
