A report from Research and Markets, a market research resource firm with nearly 400,000 reports to date, says that the global market for nanotechnology is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20 percent through 2013.

The report states that nanotechnology is revolutionizing the speed and process that materials, information, medicine and genetics moves to the marketplace. The trend affects innovative functionalities and creative applications in manufacturing, medicine, electronics, defense and other industries.

Consequently, nanotechnology is predicted to impact all industrial sectors across the globe, and countries are investing heavily in the sector.

Experiencing fastest growth is Asia-Pacific with CAGR of 52 percent. The U.S. is expected to incorporate more than $1.6 trillion into manufactured goods using nanotechnology.

The report's cost ranges from $1,194 - 1,792 Euros, depending on format desired. The Table of Contents is expansive, with sections describing research methodology, outlook and performance for individual countries, and major applications such as biomedical.
