MedPro Imaging Adds Wayman and Sanford to Growing Sales Team

MedPro Imaging, a premium provider of new and refurbished ultrasound solutions, has added two new sales executives in support of ongoing growth. MedPro, which recently reported a 118 percent increase in revenues for the first quarter of 2009, has named Scott Wayman the zone manager of Southern California and Nevada. The company also appointed Michael Sanford as the regional zone manager for Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama and Northern Florida earlier this year.

"Our business has expanded rapidly over the past 16 months despite a challenging economic environment," said Keith Rubenstein, senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for MedPro. "We believe our formula for providing state-of-the-art imaging solutions at economical price points, coupled with unparalleled customer service, is essential in sustaining this growth. Therefore, we are pleased to have such seasoned sales and customer service professionals as Scott and Mike join our team."

Wisconsin-based MedPro Imaging markets ultrasound products and services in 17 countries globally. MedPro offers new and used options in ultrasound systems, transducers and parts. The company is an authorized GE national distributor and also offers additional products which focus on other leading manufacturers of ultrasound systems. These include Siemens, Sonosite, ATL/Philips, MindRay, and other highly trusted brands. The company also now is distributing MedStreaming PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) as part of its ultrasound image archiving solutions.

Prior to MedPro, Wayman was a leading ultrasound sales consultant for ZONARE Medical Systems in Southern California. In addition to ZONARE, he worked for more than 10 years in sales and sales management for other medical and consumer companies including SonoSite Ultrasound and Diagnostic Ultrasound. Wayman received his bachelor of arts from Ottawa University in Kansas.

"We wanted a responsible vendor with excellent customer service to back our ultrasound investment," said Rolfe Metzger, administrator and COO for the Association of South Bay Surgeons in Torrance, California, which just installed an Antares ultrasound system. "We vetted MedPro from every angle, with 100 percent exceedingly positive results. The decision came easy with a good price to boot. This is why we purchased our system from Scott and MedPro, both with recognized reputations for customer service. We knew the Siemens Antares system would provide superb images to support premium patient care and the MedPro team would, in turn, support us with the excellent customer care we require."

Sanford has more than 30 years in sales and sales force management experience in the medical industry. During this tenure, he has worked for a number of ultrasound companies including ATL (Philips), Sonosite and Pinnacle Medical Services. Sanford holds a bachelor of science degree from Tulane University.

"We recently installed two Siemens X300PEs which we purchased from MedPro through Mike," said Denice Romero, RDMS, RVT, lead sonographer for Vein Centers of Texas. "MedPro is known for its superior customer service which greatly enhances our commitment in providing our patients with the best care possible. We are pleased to have Mike as part of our team in support of this commitment."
