New Jersey Practices Turn to McKesson for Integrated Revenue Management and Clinical Solution
July 20, 2011
ATLANTA - July 13, 2011 - Cardio Pulmonary Diagnostic LLC in Newark, N.J., and Hudson County Cardiovascular Care PC in Jersey City, N.J., have selected McKesson's Practice Complete™ certified electronic health record (EHR) and practice management system to help boost their clinical and financial performance. Built with cloud-computing technology, the integrated solution is uniquely designed to help providers improve billing and patient services, assist in accelerating payments and contribute to reductions in information technology costs and regulatory risk.
With Practice Complete, providers can access patient information anytime, anywhere via the Internet. The software runs on Windows® and Macintosh operating systems, allowing providers to share data across multiple offices and communication devices. Because the solution is cloud-based, software releases and other new information, such as payer and coding updates, can be accessed quickly and efficiently.
In addition, strategic decision-making at the practices is supported through the use of business intelligence and reporting tools that enable direct access to financial data. Using the system, providers can quickly view an automated, web-enabled practice dashboard that displays vital operational data, such as accounts receivables, staff productivity metrics and profitability.
"Practice Complete offers the advanced clinical and financial tools we need to improve our business management while enhancing our quality of care," said Manmohan Patel, MD, president of Cardio Pulmonary Diagnostic and Hudson County Cardiovascular Care. "With McKesson, we've gained a partner with the stability and experience to work with us over the long term as we continue to grow our practices."
Through the support of more than 4,000 revenue management experts and the industry's most robust compliance program, McKesson will help the practices address government regulations and manage complex coding, revenue management, and documentation requirements. McKesson's revenue management team will serve as a virtual back-office team to help the practices optimize their technology and resources without investing in new infrastructure, training new personnel or licensing new software.
"Physician practices are under increasing pressure to improve their quality of care despite rising costs and drops in revenue," said Pat Leonard, senior vice president and general manager for McKesson's Revenue Management Solutions group. "With nationwide resources and deep expertise, we're proud to help practices streamline operations and preserve resources so they can focus on delivering the best care possible to their patients."
