2013 will be a great year for journalism
January 09, 2013
At the end of 2012, I wrote about predictions for our industry. Now, I'll make some predictions about our news operation in 2013.
First, more doctors are reading our news so we'll do more analysis as it relates to private physicians and radiologists.
We've also added to our staff of journalists so we'll cover more topics in greater detail because our reporters will not only have more time to talk to manufacturers, distributors and industry leaders, but also customers. We hope the end-user perspective will offer more insight.
We'll also be relying on our editorial advisory board for ideas and we're hoping to get more feedback from the associations and industry groups about what they consider to be important topics.
Our editorial staff is alert and we'll invite our writers to submit their thoughts on various topics throughout the year. Our writers are thoughtful and engaged and come to the table without any preconceived notions or agendas. I'm always impressed at how easy it is for them to see the trees in the forest and focus on the core issues without allowing the fluff to influence their reports.
I'm sure that 2013 will be a great leap forward for the DOTmed News operation.
