ESA615 electrical safety analyzer
The ESA615 from Fluke Biomedical offers built-in standardized test sequences so every test is executed quickly and accurately with clear pass/fail indication of test results. It tests to the new IEC62353 (VDE751), IEC60601-1 (2nd and 3rd editions), ANSI/AAMI ES-1, NFPA-99, and AS/NZS 3551 standards. Not only does it test to the newest global standards, customers can interface in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian or Portuguese. With built-in automation, there is no need to carry a laptop for complete automated testing and documentation of electrical safety tests. Quick data entry and error-free reporting reduce test time and improve quality of test results making data management easy.

declipseSPECT viewer
SurgicEye has received 510(k) clearance for its declipseSPECT viewer. The viewer is an extension of the Confident Surgery Suite 300 for 3D radioguided surgery providing surgical oncologists an intuitive guidance and navigation solution to resect radioactive labeled structures. Features include loading and in-situ visualization of preoperative SPECT/CT and PET/CT image data and a co-registered overlay on the patient.

Prior to its clearance, the declipseSPECT viewer has been evaluated extensively in topranked German and European reference centers for sentinel lymph node biopsy in head and neck cancer, melanoma, primary breast tumors and pelvic malignancies, in combination with laparoscopic surgery.

Olympus Articulating HD 3D Laparoscopic Surgical Video System
The Olympus Articulating HD 3D Laparoscopic Surgical Video System delivers value to surgeons and patients by reducing surgical errors and improving the speed, accuracy and precision of surgical tasks such as dissection, grasping and suturing when compared with traditional 2D surgical systems. This is accomplished by restoring natural 3D vision and depth perception when performing laparoscopic procedures and is independent of a surgeon's skill level.

The new video platform is available as a module that can be added to an existing Olympus EVIS EXERA III Universal Imaging System. The modular design reduces the investment necessary to add 3D capability, and allows the surgeon to choose either 2D or 3D visualization from the surgical field.

Akucal Gen 4
J2 Medical recently released the company's newest image scaling tool.

Since its inception in 2006, the patented Akucal scaling tool has gone through many changes. From their original red base model to the current Akucal Gen4, J2 has found ways to improve every aspect of the Akucal, creating the simplest and most effective x-ray scaling tool The small footprint of Akucal's powerful silicon suction cup base allows Techs to use this device both horizontally and vertically for the variety of scenarios they encounter. J2 has incorporated an aluminum extension that they feel will greatly reduce collateral damage from normal wear and tear. Akucal's Ball Claw coupler is now an interchangeable part that can be swapped for different marker sizes or sanitized and is equipped with the industry standard 25MM numerical indicator that is visible in every image.

OT 1000 Series Orthopedic Surgical Table
The latest offering from STERIS offers simple positioning with repeatable accuracy for a wide range of patients from pediatric patients to adults up to seven feet tall. It also offers precise control through innovative SWAN technology within the ortho surgical table, improved patient airway access for the anesthesia provider through the articulating headrest, easy access to the patient with unobstructed foot clearance and powered table articulations for clinicians. It also boasts an innovative drive function which allows a single user to move the ortho surgical table from room to room. A flexible second joint makes it easier to position the spar out of the imaging area. And a free floating clamp allows you to position the traction device along the spar providing improved positioning for unrestricted imaging angles

Optima MR360 Advance
GE's Optima MR360 Advance recently received U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance.

The Optima MR360 is built with a suite of coils comprising a 16 channel head and neck array, anterior array, and flex coils that enable faster workflow. It can also be used for more clinical applications, like those that are needle free and less invasive. According to GE, the new scanner also minimizes the noise to signal degradation, thereby improving image quality, through analog to digital signal inside the scan room.
