Share your good news. No one else will!

It always amazes me how sometimes really powerful and capable people are often shy about promoting themselves. If you think you are one of those people, you should read this.

Most workdays, more than 20,000 people come to our site. Many come for the first time.

All of them are interested in learning about equipment, products, or services, or they come to read our news. Many of them end up making buying decisions or, at a minimum, making purchasing inquiries based on research they do on our website.

Many of the most successful people I know are also down to earth and humble and sometimes uncomfortable about putting their best foot forward. However, you need to keep in mind that when you share good news about yourself or your company, or share your personal accomplishments, people are more likely to contact you and more likely to do business with you.

If you have taken on a new position, you want your friends in the industry to know. You never know when someone is going to reach out to you because you have taken on new responsibilities.

You would be amazed at how small the world is.

Remember, when you help people to make the right decision about what to buy or how to solve a problem, you are helping that person and in the case of health care, all of the people that will be treated. It is not an exaggeration to say that when honest people succeed in our business, the result is that lives are saved.

So when you share your successes and when people read about those successes and have more confidence in you, they are more likely to contact you and you are more likely to be able to help them.

At DOTmed, we are doing our part because we have created a way that you can share your good news with our visitors and Users. It's called "Who, What, Where." It is free and we have made it easy for you to submit news.

Do not be shy. You owe it to yourself and your colleagues to put your best foot forward.
