MVN BIOMECH Awinda
Xsens expands its portfolio of full-body 3D kinematic measurement systems with MVN BIOMECH Awinda.
Inertial motion measurements are further enhanced with Xsens’ wireless motion trackers in MVN BIOMECH Awinda. Freedom of movement of the subject is increased by the lack of on-body cables and battery packs. Preparation time of the subject is reduced since the wireless motion trackers click into dedicated body straps. On-body weight of the total system has been decreased drastically. This makes MVN BIOMECH Awinda the perfect choice for research applications such as biomechanics, ergonomics and rehabilitation.
Mobi-C Cervical Disc for One-Level Use
LDR announced that it has received a letter of approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration allowing the commercial sale and distribution of the Mobi-C Cervical Disc (Mobi-C), for one-level indications.
Mobi-C is a cobalt chromium alloy and polyethylene, mobile-bearing prosthesis specifically designed as a bone-sparing, cervical intervertebral disc replacement. In addition to the unique mobile-bearing feature, Mobi-C offers a simplified surgical technique as compared to other commercially available devices.
In the one-level arm of the Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) trial, Mobi-C demonstrated non-inferiority in overall trial success compared to ACDF, which is a standard option for treating degenerative disc disease.
ProSim 3 Vital Signs Simulator
Fluke Biomedical debuted its ProSim 3 and 2 Vital Signs Simulators. The ProSim 3 with four IBP channels ensures multi-channel monitors are performing correctly. Equipped with enough battery life for a full work day, stay connected ECG posts for secure lead connections, upgraded DIN connectors for cable and ProSim compatibility, and field upgradability so it easily pairs with other devices for comprehensive testing.
The ProSim 3 patient simulator has the perfect amount of features for field work. It tests ECG (ST segment, pace and arrhythmia included), respiration, invasive blood pressure, temperature, cardiac output, and fetal/maternal. The ProSim 2 patient simulator tests two less parameters: cardiac output and fetal/maternal, and has two fewer invasive blood pressure channels.
MD211G5 Medical Diagnostic Monitor
NEC Display Solutions of America, announced 510(k) market clearance of the 21-inch MultiSync MD211G5 medical-grade monitor.
The MD211G5 is an LED-backlit IPS diagnostic display offering out-of-the-box factory DICOM calibration and uniformity control for consistent imaging across the entire screen. Featuring a contrast ratio of 1200:1 and a calibrated brightness of 500 cd/m2.
The integrated front sensor constantly monitors and adjusts brightness to maintain the factory DICOM GSDF calibration. The included GammaCompMD QA software performs routine display configuration and ensures consistent image quality. Additionally, the optional GammaCompMD QA Server provides computer networks with centralized control and management of multiple display systems.
ImagePilot Aero
Konica Minolta Medical Imaging recently announced the release of a new Digital Radiography Solution -- ImagePilot Aero. This all-inone digital imaging system combines the ease of use and simplified image acquisition of the Konica Minolta ImagePilot System with the workflow efficiencies, and high image quality of the lightweight, wireless Aero DR panel.
Image transfer occurs in a 13 second cycle for higher patient throughput. The panel’s wireless versatility enhances clinical efficiency and productivity, as one panel can be used for all exams. The durable panel design enhances reliability and offers high-quality, high DQE imaging with greater dose efficiency.
