DOTmed 100: It is not just a popularity contest

This year, DOTmed is 15 years old. At the end of the last century, one of the first things we did was establish User Ratings. This was something that was really unprecedented in the medical equipment sales and service business online and we were the first to do it.

In no time at all, we had several people rating others with many clearly standing out on top. Thus, the DOTmed 100 was launched. In the old days when our site was mostly dealer to dealer, most of the ratings were one dealer rating another, but over the last few years, more end users have used our site to rate vendors.

In response to this, last year we rated end user ratings higher than dealer ratings.

As more health care providers rate more vendors, we find that more health care providers take our ratings more seriously and use those ratings to make decisions about firms they do business with.

We are very happy that the rating system is so important and we are glad that it benefits both vendors and providers.

We have had some companies such as Bob Gaw of PRN, who have received the most positive ratings three years running. David Denholtz of Integrity Medical is another. His company has been on the list every year since 2005.

Altogether, we have 5304 total ratings for 1819 different users

And the numbers are growing. Every single day, there are multiple people rating each other on our site.

We encourage everyone to rate the companies that you are happy with and take advantage of this service.
