Good Samaritan Hospital provides superb patient care in state-of-the-art facilities. Continuing Medical Education (CME)

Continuing Medical Education activities at Good Samaritan Hospital have been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through Good Samaritan Hospital, Los Angeles. Good Samaritan Hospital is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. It is the policy of Good Samaritan Hospital to ensure fair balance, independence, objectivity and scientific rigor of all its sponsored programs. All faculty participating in sponsored programs are expected to disclose to the audience any real or apparent conflicts of interest related to the content of their presentations. Participating physicians should only claim those hours actually spent in each educational activity.

Course Description
At the Los Angeles Cardiology Society Forum, three to four interesting cases are presented by the participants. These cases include the entire spectrum of clinical cardiology, from congenital to acquired heart disease. The cases are presented in detail using the most advanced non-invasive and invasive testing. The clinical management of these cases is then discussed by the assembled group of clinicians, and a treatment plan is agreed upon. The goal of this conference is to present interesting and controversial cases, and to stimulate discussion and even disagreement.

The fee for this dinner meeting is $25.00 for physicians. Residents & fellows are our guests.

Refunds

Objectives
Following this meeting, participants should be better able to:

* Discuss developments in the approach to patients with clinical coronary artery disease
* Describe changes in the treatment of patients with congenital heart disease
* Assess the role of non-invasive testing in the work-up of patients with various types of heart disease

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This conference is an annual course for ophthalmologists and optometrists offered by Retina Vitreous and Joint-Sponsored by Good Samaritan Hospital. It reviews many of the common and some uncommon vitreoretinal diseases seen in general and subspecialty ophthalmic practices. It also provides new and established information concerning the diagnosis and treatment of these varied vitreoretinal diseases deemed necessary for continuing education for Ophthalmology and Optometry.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At the conclusion of this symposium, participants will be able to describe the pathophysiological factors associated with a wide spectrum of vitreoretinal diseases, recognize current options available to manage the above pathology, and discuses the status of research and current recommendations concerning the vitreoretinal pathology in the United States and the world.
