Mission Statement
For more than 40 years, Queen of the Valley Hospital has been the premiere medical facility in the Napa Valley. Our long history of providing high quality and caring service is founded on four core values: Dignity, Service, Excellence and Justice. These central principles inspire us to reach out to those in need and to help heal the whole person-mind, body and spirit.
Home Care
When you need care with compassion, St. Joseph's brings it home
We know that some of the best recovery rooms aren't located in the hospital. And there's no place like home, especially when you are sick or recovering from an illness or injury. We are here to provide you with compassionate, professional care in the warm, familiar surroundings of your home where you can be close to your family and friends. We provide you with the education and tools to regain your health and well-being.
Nursing Care
Skilled nurses handle special treatments, including wound care, medication management, IV therapy, physical assessment and monitoring and specialized healthcare instruction. Specialty programs include Maternal-Child Health, Cancer Care and a wound/ostomy specialist.
Staff
The staff of Home Care includes:
Registered Nurses
Physical Therapists
Occupational Therapists
Speech Therapists
Social Workers-MSW
Certified Home Health Aides
Liaison to hospital
How much does it cost?
Many private insurance companies provide coverage for most home health services. We are contract providers for many insurance companies and HMOs.
If you are 65 years or older, or if you are disabled, home care is covered under the Medicare program. Home Care Services is a Medicare provider under Part A and Part B. MediCal also provides coverage for home health care. We happily process the billing and paperwork as a service to our patients.

A Reputation for Excellence
A Catholic non-profit, full-service diagnostic and therapeutic medical facility, Queen of the Valley Hospital was founded in 1958 by the Sisters of St. Joseph and is part of St. Joseph Health System. We have since become Napa county's largest non-governmental employer and the largest, most comprehensive health care facility in the region. Our reputation for excellence, on a par with well-known university hospitals, consistently attracts high caliber physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Working together, the men and women of this hospital reach out to those in need with love and concern to help heal the whole person -- body, mind, and spirit. Thanks to Queen of the Valley's personal approach, trained personnel, and state-of-the-art facilities, residents of Napa Valley will always be assured of receiving the highest quality of care close to home.
We are fully committed to recruiting and nurturing the growth of employees who share our four core values: Dignity, Service, Excellence, and Justice. Guided by these values in our work every day, we strive to continuously enhance the quality of our hospital's services and to nurture a team-based, supportive and dynamic work environment.
