RSNA 2014 - a strong showing
December 03, 2014
My first RSNA was in 1980. So I have had a chance to see the show grow over the years. I believe this year's RSNA was stronger than last year's show. Keep in mind, last year's show had to contend with the polar vortex and the government shutdown which had attendees and exhibitors a little uneasy and distracted. This year, the general mood was much brighter. I am sure some of it had to do with the fact that RSNA was celebrating its 100 year anniversary.
While not nearly as impressive, DOTmed also hit a milestone this year of 15 years in business. So it was nice to see many people I have not seen in awhile at the show. For example, our annual media event was very well attended. It was great to get the chance to thank so many of our supporters. It is humbling at times to look out at a packed room and realize I am a part of something so much bigger than just DOTmed and that we are helping to inform health care leaders who in turn, help to furnish the tools and support to professionals directly involved with saving and improving the lives of people across America and around the world.
Meanwhile, our journalists visited a lot of exhibitors and will report on their findings in the weeks to come. They already wrote a few stories while at the show and those stories are live on our site now. We also took a lot of photos that we will be sharing online in the next few days. Well, that's all for now because I have to catch my plane!
