Report from Arab Health

Last night, I landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport at 11:30pm and made it to my loft in Tribeca in 30 minutes. I had eaten on the plane and my wife made me a peppermint tea and as I was winding down, Don Bogutski sent me a text and a photograph from Dubai. He asked me to call him, which I did.

In fact, I knew a number of firms that attended the show and I had asked Don to give me an informal report on how he thought Arab Health has evolved so I could write about it.

Coincidentally, Don and I were both at Arab Health five years ago.

According to Don, the show has grown remarkably.

This is the 41st edition of the Arab Health Exhibition.

According to Don, there were 115,000 attendees from 163 countries. Altogether, more than 4,000 companies exhibited at the show.

Don said that the show was electric with lots of people from around the word interested in making buying decisions. He chastised me for not attending and said DOTmed really needs to be represented there next year.

Don believes the health care business in that part of the world is really going to heat up. I am not 100% sure he is right but I will keep my eye on things and report to you in the future.
