NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Radiation Business Solutions (RBS), a leading provider of revenue cycle and practice management services for the radiation oncology industry, has announced the addition of five new sites of service.

New clients include Vanderbilt Medical Center's freestanding radiation oncology sites in Clarksville and Spring Hill, Tennessee; Amboy Radiation Oncology in Staten Island, New York; and Pinehurst Radiation Oncology of Pinehurst, North Carolina. Mat-Su Valley Comprehensive Cancer Center, a new facility scheduled to open in Palmer, Alaska, later this fall, rounds out the list.

"Our patient-centric approach has proven to be very attractive in today's tumultuous radiation oncology environment," says Dan Moore, CEO of Radiation Business Solutions. "There is a need for transparency and creativity in healthcare solutions more than ever before. I'm grateful that our five new sites – as well as our existing clients – choose to turn to us for answers and stability."

As RBS continues to grow, they have deepened their talent pool with the addition of two industry veterans.

Michael Bauer has joined the team as Senior Vice President of Business Development. Bauer brings over 20 years of experience in nearly every aspect of the radiation oncology industry to the company. In his new role, he is responsible for identifying emerging markets and new services that benefit cancer patients, as well as fostering collaborative partnerships with like-minded companies.

The company has also formed a new Hospital Services division, focused on providing oncology billing solutions to the more than 1,400 hospital-based cancer centers across the United States. Robert LoBue will serve as Vice President of Hospital Services and will lead the development and growth of this new service line.

LoBue is a licensed radiation therapist, and has nearly 20 years of experience in the physician practice and hospital outpatient setting. He most recently served as the Director of Oncology Services at Kingman Regional Medical Center in Kingman, Arizona.

"With the addition of Michael and Robert to our team, we have greatly expanded our resources and our bench strength," says Greg Merrill, President of RBS. "This will allow us to help even more radiation oncology practices and departments to create and realize more value - in freestanding as well as hospital-based cancer centers."

Radiation Business Solutions provides billing, practice management, and consulting services to oncology practices around the country. They optimize the revenue cycle performance of their clients' sites of service, representing over $250,000,000 in annual charges. In partnership with their physician clients, the company formed RBS Evolution, a joint venture company that builds cancer centers in rural areas that have limited or no access to cancer care. Radiation Business Solutions and RBSE are both headquartered in Joelton, Tennessee. RBSE owns and operates three freestanding cancer centers in the United States.
