Thermo Fisher Scientific announces radiation tolerant PTZ camera

The Thermo Scientific KiloRAD PTZ is a fully integrated camera suited for patient and instrumentation monitoring in radiation oncology, nuclear medicine, nuclear reactor surveillance, accelerator experiments, hot cells, safety programs (ALARA), nuclear power generation, waste disposal, and high energy physics.
The KiloRAD PTZ cameras are Charge Injection Device (CID) based, radiation tolerant cameras, resistant to radiation induced pixilation common with CCD and CMOS camera technologies. Key features include:
• “Plug and play” that includes lens and no additional hardware or extraordinary setup required
• Remotely controlled (Pelco D protocol) 180-degree pan, 90-degree tilt, and zoom (5x lens with 1.2x digital) functionality
• Excellent signal-to-noise in radiation environments, up to 100 kRads of total dose
• RS422 compatibility
• Standard NTSC video output
