MSB is proud to announce the availability of 12 place rotor heads for the Dade Baxter Immufuge Blood Banking Centrifuge. The 12 place heads (rotors) for the Dade Baxter Immufuge were not available since 2001. The Dade Baxter Immufuge is the blood banking centrifuge of choice.

Midwest Science and BioCenter (MSB) was founded by Mr. Matt Fisher (BMET). Mr. Fisher has been servicing clinical laboratory and radiology instrumentation since the early 1980s.

NorthStar offers consultation on reflexive testing protocols. This will help your medical staff identify medical conditions more quickly and more efficiently. The program also offers consultation on regulatory compliance and conversion of waived POLs to moderately complex laboratories, as well as, starting a new laboratory.

NorthStar also consults on Medicare/Medicaid coding and billing procedures and will work with your ordering physician to identify medically necessary tests. NorthStar offers all the Diagnostic Instrumentation and Supplies needed to operate your own laboratory, supplying the Physician with critical test results immediately. By running tests on-site in your own Lab, you and your patients will benefit.

NorthStar can also help members of the NorthStar Advantage Program with their Laboratory staffing needs and patient referrals. MSB also owns Health Check Laboratories Inc. Health Check Laboratories is a reference laboratory located in Albertville Minnesota. Jon Fering is in charge of the NorthStar accounts. Mr. Fering graduated from Hamline University, and has 16 years of experience in the clinical laboratory field.

Instrumentation Sales: MSB sells both new and refurbished clinical laboratory instrumentation. The Instrument Sales Division is headed up by Ariel Daza, V.P. Sales & Marketing and Ford Royer, National Sales Manager. Mr. Daza has a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology and 25 years of experience in clinical laboratory instrument sales and service. Mr. Royer also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology and 27 years experience in clinical laboratory instrument sales.

Service: MSB's service division, previously known as Scientific Instrument Services has been servicing the clinical laboratories since 1973. MSB has over a 100 years of combined experience in the Clinical Laboratory. MSB services Chemistry, Hematology, Histology, Coagulation, Centrifuges, and much more. MSB's senior service technician Robert Teachman has been with the company using him electronic engineering degree for the last 30 years.

Parts: MSB started selling centrifuge and cell washer parts in 2000, when MSB purchased all the parts for the Dade Baxter Dac II and Immufuge II from Dade Bering. In 2003 Jason Fisher (VP) expanded the parts division from just Dade Baxter parts to almost all makes and models of centrifuge and cell washer parts. MSB now carries centrifuge parts for Beckman, Drucker, Sorvall, Hereaus, Baxter, Sanyo (MSE), Eppendorff, BD (Clay Adams), and more. MSB is proud the offer the 12 place rotor for the Immufuge.

Consumables: In the beginning of 2004 MSB started carrying consumables for the laboratory.
