MedRepair LLC Expands Their Space and Services

MedRepair LLC's has been growing, so owner Steve Littell recently decided to expand his business into another building. MedRepair is a sales and service company whose emphasis is on the medical, dental, and veterinary markets. The company handles an array of equipment ranging from surgical power tools and endoscope electronics to light sources and video monitors.

"We have been doing things all along to gain more customers because we are a reasonably priced manufacturer," says Littell about the expansion. "We are getting into dental equipment as well and our expansion revolves around those labs." MedRepair's video lab recently doubled in size and their machine shop needed to increase in size as well.

The expansion is also due to the company's success with customers and good inventory turn around time. "It takes 1-3 days, average 2 days, to get equipment, which compared to a manufacturer is exceptional because sometimes it takes months to get equipment," says Littell. "Sometimes, we can get orders to customers the same day."

The company has a machine area and a dedicated team of machinists so that most of the parts they receive are made just for them. "I have been in the service industry for over 20 years and have seen a great deal of equipment," says Littell. "When we see a tool, quite often we invest in having parts made so we have quite the extensive inventory." Additionally, MedRepair has loaners on hand for power tools and repairs.

MedRepair is one of three distributors for De Soutter Medical, located in England, enabling De Soutter to sell their cast saws in the U.S. The staff is OEM trained, so as Desoutter Medical expands, MedRepair does their repairs.

"We have grown on word of mouth and are increasing our offerings. We actually are the only ones in the U.S. who can do some of our capabilities," says Littell proudly.
