Five Minutes in Healthcare is a new series we've introduced in HealthCare Business News, where I discuss current events with some of the industry's most influential leaders, as well as innovative thinkers who are working to meet the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.

Over the last week I have had the pleasure of speaking to Dr. Berndt Schmit, Chad Fowlkes and Mike Pringle. Each interview is approximately five minutes long, or a few minutes over five.

In this installment, I check in with Dr. Berndt Schmit, a radiologist in Tucson, Arizona, and the founder of Humanitarian Radiology Development Core (HRD Core), a charitable organization that brings ultrasound technology to different countries around the world. We discuss the unique needs of different locations, a rural mobile outreach breast cancer screening program in Bolivia, and the over-arching challenges in keeping legacy equipment operational in places with limited resources.

In this installment, I check in with a good friend of mine, Chad Fowlkes, vice president of Advanced Imaging Systems, about the business impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

In this installment, I check in with my old friend and industry veteran, Mike Pringle, about the state of the coronavirus in the UK and some of the long term consequences he anticipates from the pandemic.

We hope you enjoy the videos. Please tell us what you think, and let us know who you would like to see interviewed next!
