Five Minutes in Healthcare is where I discuss current events with some of the industry's most influential leaders, as well as innovative thinkers who are working to meet the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.

Over the last week I have had the pleasure of speaking to Dr. Alexander Towbin, Allie Baylock, Marshall Shannon, Larry Knight and Rich Miller. Each interview is approximately five minutes long, or a few minutes over five.

In this installment, I check in with Dr. Alexander Towbin, radiologist and associate chief of clinical operations and informatics at Cincinnati’s Children’s Hospital Medical Center, about the importance of standardization and what it could mean for enterprise imaging.

This is a topic that Dr. Towbin discussed in our May magazine, in an article entitled A call for standardization in enterprise imaging.

In recent years, Dr. Towbin has been a great resource for our news. We have interviewed him on subjects ranging from tips for creating a successful pediatric radiology department, to strategies for better social media utilization.

In this installment, I check in with Allie Baylock, vice president of operations for North American Imaging, about the business impact of the coronavirus pandemic and overall reduction in elective procedures.

In this installment, I check in with my good friends Larry Knight, president of Altima Diagnostic Imaging Solutions, and Marshall Shannon, director of operations at Image Technology Consulting, two well-known veterans in the medical imaging equipment industry. We discuss the value proposition of independent service and the business impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In this installment, I check in with Rich Miller, chief strategy officer for QGenda, about the vital role of scheduling in healthcare efficiency, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We hope you enjoy the videos. Please tell us what you think, and let us know who you would like to see interviewed next!
