ProHEALTH Care Associates, LLP, one of New York's largest multi-specialty patient-care organizations, serving more than 750,000 patients annually, has selected GE Healthcare Centricity® Electronic Medical Record (EMR) solution to streamline its practice and patient-care management functions.

ProHEALTH also selected GE Healthcare's RIS and Billing IT solution, Centricity Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Services and GE DISCOVERY PET/CT in order to streamline operations, improve care and consolidate technology under one portfolio of GE Healthcare solutions.

The purchase by ProHEALTH started as a search to find a way to update their existing billing functionality. With existing GE Healthcare solutions, ProHEALTH saw the value of implementing Centricity Group Management EMR and RIS functions to better care for patients across various locations and specialties. The advanced clinical content embedded in Centricity EMR will help provide ProHEALTH's physicians with nationally accepted, evidence-based alerts at the point of care, which helps support patient care decisions and can help reduce medical errors.

In addition, Centricity's EDI services, a web-based claims management solution, will assist the company in managing claims with a proactive monitoring service with automated and customized task management. The Discovery PET/CT system will provide clinician access to one of the most advanced diagnostic devices available, ensuring faster, more accurate information to aid ProHEALTH's physicians in making treatment decisions.
