Following in its parent company's footsteps, Philips Healthcare of Andover, MA, has increased the sale of environmentally friendly products by 35 percent. Royal Philips Electronics gained a 33 percent increase in sales of green products in 2007. This resulted in total green product sales of approximately $7.8 billion compared to $5.9 billion in 2006.
Philips' Achieva 3.0T X-series MRI scanner shows a reduction in the environmental impact of the product by 32% compared to previous models. In addition, Philips IntelliVue MMS X2 patient monitor consumes 52% less energy during use, the company said.
