Mayo Clinic Integrated Oncology
Building, Jacksonville, Florida
BR+A Consulting Engineers
Mayo Clinic is constructing a new Integrated Oncology Building (IOB) on their Jacksonville, FL campus to support advanced radiation treatment equipment including proton/carbon treatment systems. When complete, the three-story, 225,000 SF facility will house two proton gantries; one carbon fixed beam room; three linear accelerators; CT and MRI patient imaging; as well as support patient exam and treatment planning stations. Treatment for proton patients is planned for late 2025 with treatment for carbon patients planned for mid-2027. Mayo's IOB facility will be the first facility within the United States to offer carbon treatment. Rendering courtesy of Perkins&Will.

Ranger-300
Logos Systems International
The Ranger-300 proton beam range verification tool gives a realtime view of 30 cm of the proton beam path as it travels toward its target depth, including the Bragg peak area, and proximal/distal locations of interest. When mounted on the Logos Systems XRV-3000 Eagle or XRV-4000 Hawk phantom, the Ranger is oriented so the beam enters the 40 x 40 mm target window of the 305 mm transparent scintillator block. It is close to tissue equivalence, and the effective resolution is better than 0.5 mm over energy ranges from 70 to 230 MeV. Powerful BraggPeakView software performs the depth analysis. Visit LogosVisionSystem.com for information.

RT Spot
Beekley Medical - Booth 584
Designed specifically for CT simulation, RT-SPOT® is the only skin marker elevated from the skin line, helping to exclude the marker from the automatic body contour.

Existing skin markers can affect dose calculations, must be manually contoured out, and increase the dose planning time per patient.

Elevated RT-SPOT helps save the dosimetrist time by reducing the need for manual contouring and density override. A flexible linear marker that contours easily into desired shapes, including tight circles, RTSPOT stays in place without lifting, making it ideal for marking field borders, tangents, scars, sarcomas and larger treatment areas.

MEVION S250i Proton Therapy System
Mevion - Booth 566
The MEVION S250i® with HYPERSCAN® technology is a radically different pencil beam scanning solution, built to eliminate the shortcomings of first generation PBS systems. HYPERSCAN technology utilizes a unique combination of optimum spot sizes, hyper-fast layer switching and a novel multilayer proton MLC.

CSAC-90-DM Air-Cooled Water Chiller
Cold Shot Chillers - Booth 1591
Our model CSAC-90-DM is an air-cooled water (glycol) chiller. Medical chillers are configured with two independent refrigeration circuits to handle partial heat loads during standby modes. An ECM variable speed condenser fan motor eliminates large head pressure swings and makes it possible to operate the chiller outdoors in ambient air temperatures down to -20° F. A chiller pump is used to recirculate the heat transfer fluid through the tank and evaporator to provide a consistent chilled fluid for your linear accelerator. A dedicated process pump is used to provide proper flow and pressure needed based on the piping layout and the model of linear accelerator used. An onboard PLC monitors the operation of the chiller and will report any errors in a numeric code to the temperature controller LED display. An optional city water back up panel and remote status panel are used to prevent disruption to patient treatment.
