M2S, Inc. is a global provider of image management services for medical device clinical trials and a leader in 3-D endovascular treatment planning. The company will hold two free webinars on how image management can enhance Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry (DXA) services for bone mineral density and body composition trials.

The first webinar will be held on February 3 at 1:00 PM ET and will use the web to illustrate processing of DXA bone mineral density images, showing advantages of electronic image transfer in real-time.

On February 10, the webinar will present issues and answers on challenges in clinical trials using body composition measurements including patient positioning and use of phantoms.

The DXA is a low-dose imaging modality used frequently in clinical trials testing potential drugs for osteoporosis, HIV, oncology and hormonal therapies.

Reta Rupich, Vice President, M2S DXA division stated that these webinars are expected to show how electronic image transfer can improve the speed and reduce the costs of collecting DXA images in clinical trials as well as to offer useful information for planning trials using body composition.

M2S has managed images under protocol in various therapeutic areas in all digital imaging modalities. At year-end 2008, M2S acquired DXA Resource Group (DRG), a clinical trials service company.
