ATLANTA - ANSOS One-Staff™, the flagship product of McKesson's workforce management suite, brings staffing back to the bedside with the launch of ANSOS2Go, a mobile application and the first Android™ application from McKesson. ANSOS2Go gives ANSOS One-Staff users the ability to view their calendars and work assignments from their Android phones or tablets. Maine Medical Center (MMC), a nonprofit institution and the largest medical center in Maine, has used ANSOS One-Staff for about 10 years. MMC, recognized nationally for its nursing excellence, expects that the new application will help make it easier to fill staffing needs.
ANSOS2Go is designed to help healthcare providers increase productivity, decrease gaps in care, and ensure that hospital scheduling needs are met. By helping to coordinate care, the easy-to-use application supports McKesson's Better Health 2020™ strategy, which focuses on improving performance and quality as the healthcare industry evolves.
"We began the implementation phase of ANSOS One-Staff in order to provide our staff with access to schedules online and noticed a significant increase in staff productivity," said Judith Beaupre, Resource and Management Systems Manager, Maine Medical Center. "With the new release of McKesson's ANSOS2Go, our staff now has the same functionality via smart phone. With just a click of the icon, they can access their schedules from anywhere, which is essential when coordinating patient care for all disciplines, and not just for nursing."
With McKesson's ANSOS2Go, staff can view their calendars quickly to see the work assignments for that day. They can view the start and end time, work shift and location of any assignment by tapping on the particular day on the calendar. They can also view all work assignments in a list format. The application offers even more benefits for managers, who can now view where employees are scheduled to work and send any employee an email or text message simply by tapping on the person's name. The user-friendly application can be downloaded from the Google Play™ Store at no charge.
"Our goal with ANSOS2Go is to help improve staffing workflow by empowering staff with more functionality and flexibility," said Billie Whitehurst, vice president and chief nursing officer, Workforce Management, McKesson. "The application provides staff and management with the ability to connect and coordinate care on-the-go, and managers can now check to see who's working where at any time and from any location."
