by Loren Bonner, DOTmed News Online Editor | February 10, 2014
Dr. Michael Friebe
Dr. Michael Friebe, an affiliate professor at the Technical University Munich in Germany, has joined DOTmed HealthCare Business News' editorial advisory board.

Friebe is an industry veteran who has been involved in diagnostic imaging in many capacities. He's CEO of the Germany-based IDTM GmbH, a consulting company for diagnostic imaging, mobile diagnostic imaging equipment and image guided therapies. Before that venture, he founded Tomovation + Alliance Medical Northern and Central Europe (Alliance bought Tomovation in 2008, both radiology services companies) and prior to that NEUROMED AG (acquired by UMS AG in 2001).

Friebe is also an inventor and holds over 50 patent applications. He's a member of IEEE, ISMRM, RSNA, and ECR and an affiliated professor with the chair for Computer Aided Medical Procedures (CAMP) at the Technical University Munich.

Friebe will advise DOTmed writers and editors on several issues related to diagnostic imaging. He joins a broad range of advisory board members from various clinical and health care business fields. Other DOTmed HealthCare Business News advisory board members include: Dr. Abass Alavi, Leonard Arzt, Norman E. Bolus, Jason Launders, Barbara G. Rebold, Wayne Webster, Sharon A. Van Wicklin, Martin E. Zimmerman and Heidi Horn.
