The acquisition of the Bussman assets bolsters Kentucky Trailer’s portfolio of products and solutions specific to mobile and modular categories. Kentucky Trailer acquired Netherlands-based Smit Mobile Equipment B.V. (Smit BV) and Smit Mobile Equipment (UK) Ltd. (Smit UK) in October 2015. Smit BV is an established, global provider of specialized mobile solutions to the medical sector. Smit’s products include mobile and relocatable magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) and positron emission tomography–computed tomography (PET/CT) equipment.
