As part of Messe Düsseldorf’s new MEDICAlliance umbrella brand including all of the company’s worldwide medical trade fairs, MEDICAlliance will official launch with the staging of MEDICAL FAIR INDIA 2018, to be held from March 16 – 18, 2018 at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Center in Mumbai.

Organized by Messe Düsseldorf India, a subsidiary of Messe Düsseldorf, MEDICAL FAIR INDIA is the leading medical trade fair for the Indian subcontinent and alternates annually between New Delhi and Mumbai. Over 550 exhibitors from some 20 nations will showcase the latest medical products and medical device technology, lab technology and diagnostics, equipment and furniture for hospitals and health centers as well as Health IT and mobile health solutions. Visitors will include decision-makers from the medical sector (physicians and medical professionals) and top hospital managers but also architects and building planners, consultants, scientists and researchers.

A special highlight at MEDICAL FAIR INDIA 2018 will be the “Future for Health” Lounge with presentations and a conference session on current trends in medical digitalization, mobile applications and health Apps.

Addressing the visitors’ increased interest in laboratory medicine (1/3 of the 13,500 visitors at the 2017 event were particularly interested in this field), CLIN LAB INDIA will again form an integral part of MEDICAL FAIR INDIA 2018. The conference with exhibition jointly organized by Scherago and Messe Düsseldorf India will focus on molecular diagnostics, point-of-care applications and immunobiological lab medicine. The exhibits area of CLIN LAB INDIA will include companies such as Mindray, Operon, SMC, Godrej and Technoservice. CLIN LAB INDIA made its debut at the 2017 event in New Delhi.

Due to its large population and a rising level of prosperity and healthcare, India is considered one of the most promising markets for medical products and medical device technology worldwide. The medical products market is estimated to total approx. US$ 8 billion in volume with an import quota of 60%. The Indian market for health IT alone is estimated at US$ 2.5 billion and just as attractive for health IT. Over the coming years the health IT software segment is forecast to post double-digit growth rates considering the current market volume of some US$ 100 million. (Sources: Deloitte & NASSCOM).
